I bet your wondering what happened to me, it’s been a long time since I posted any news. Well a lot has been happening! I’ve been contracting myself out to several different places around Melbourne to further extend my knowledge, it’s proven to be a great help and I’ve picked up a lot of valuable knowledge.
I’ve also been working a few sites which are coming along nicely and will soon feature in my portfolio section (which is in need of a major update).
Other news, you may have noticed that the home, about and portfolio pages look slightly different, this is because I’ve recreated them. I created a tableless version of the site and have ported those three pages across, the contact page will follow shortly.
I have more to tell you, I have plans to create a great CMS system for small sites, and I’m also going to rebuild this blog so that it’s much more user friendly, but until then keep your eyes open for the upcoming changes.

Happy New Year!
I hope everyone stays safe this year and that you all stick to your new years resolutions.
In other news theCoder is coming along nicely. I’ve pretty much finished the front end, the back end is being built at the moment and it should be up in a few weeks. I can’t wait to get it up and running I’m very interested to see if people will use it.
All the best

I would like to start by apologising about not posting much recently. I have just got a new job and have been working really hard to stay on top of everything but life is starting to get back to normal.
I thought I would let everyone know about my next project, its called theCoder.com.au and I’m wanting to turn it into a PHP resource center. Everything that I do I want to post on this site, it will have lots of PHP resources including scripts and tutorials…
But in saying that the site is still a long way off, its going to be an on going site that I’m building from scratch so it may be a few months before it starts working. I’ll be sure to let everyone know how it goes.
I’ll try and start posting a little more.

It looks like the transfer of SketchTHAT went smooth. We completed our move yesterday at around mid-day.
The site has been fully restored to its previous state but is now on fast Melbourne based servers, which is excellent because most of the sites traffic is from Melbourne, so get used to the faster SketchTHAT.
In other news, I have been playing around with Templates.. In particular the PHP Add-on Smarty template program, its fantastic, the main part of SketchTHAT now runs on templates. This means that it will be a lot easier to make changes to the layout of the site!
Well I hope everyone enjoys my new servers, if you would like to hire some space just head on over to my hosting area.

SketchTHAT is in the process of changing servers.
The server we are currently using is based in the US and so far has been a little unreliable. We are moving our servers to Melbourne which means the speeds will be greatly increased and the server will also be much more reliable.
The sever is a Dell PowerEdge 1425 Dual Xeon 3.2ghz and will make use Apache 1.3.36, PHP5, Zend, ionCube, MySQL 4.1.19, PostgreSQL 7 and Tomcat JSP.
The best thing about this move is no prices at SketchTHAT will be changed, no matter what plan you are on.
Please send me an email if you have any questions.

That time of year is fast approaching. In about 10 days I will be completing my last exam for the semester. Once it has finished I will be heading down the pub with some mates to celebrate our completion on University.
What is going to be in store for SketchTHAT during the summer break?
Well I have scraped the directory idea. I don’t think the web need anymore directories so I have decided I’m going to make turn and start something different.
I am not going to say a lot about it, but once I have secured everything I will let you all know what is going on.
Should be fun times over the next 9 months.
Peace Out

Well first off I must say sorry for not writing anything for a while, university has been hectic and work seems to be due every hour of every day. Also to make things more complicated a lot of web work has come through, which I welcome with open arms.
I have a few plans that I would like to implement within the next few months, these include a web directory and new blog for SketchTHAT as well as a few other interesting things. So be sure to keep your eyes on this site as things are going to start changing.
Peace Out
